spoilers off ebay?
what do you guys know about these. of course, they all say OEM style, but they are selling them painted for about $200. courtesy nissan has them for 480, unpainted, and that place that sells the components for the headlights has them for 280, unpainted.
so how off is this ebay spoiler gonna be? you guys think the paint will match? i want a spoiler really bad, i dont like the no spoiler look on our cars. i think that may be my first mod.

Make sure they come with the 3rd brake light mounted already. Because if not, you need an aftermarket LED bar since the OEM one won't fit (unless you shave the tabs and are willing to pay the $100 Nissan is charging for it). Just PM me and I'll tell you where to get it. Now, on to the spoiler itself... I have an aftermarket spoiler too (not exactly off of eBay though), had it for the past 3 years and the only way you can tell it's aftermarket is to take it off because it's noticeably lighter than OEM. Of course, you don't doubt that the clearcoat went after 3 years.. I just had it repainted at Nissan for $50 and now it looks like brand new. No paint matching issues whatsoever.

I don't really know where it was bought from because I've only had the car for a few months now. My dad is the original owner and he did it a while ago when we didn't even live in the same city. You just need to figure out the drilling process and hopefully the spoiler will come with rubber pads to put between the spoiler and the trunk. As far as the paint, whether it's OEM quality is doubtful. It might start fading or getting dull with time, but you can always have it repainted with factory paint. Trust me, your GLE will look like no other

And getting rid of an Accord shouldn't be that hard...

haha, i thought selling an accord wouldnt be hard either, but since its hooked up, im limiting my demographic who would want it. lots of calls and lookers and whatnot, but nothing yet...
i hope to make my GLE stand out

It doesn't look impossibly hard.. I think there was someone with a 3.5 white GLE that has an aftermarket spoiler too. You might want to browse through cardomain and try to contact him, he'll tell you more. The hardest part like I said is drilling the holes and connecting the 3rd brake light wires, I have to take a closer look at mine and I'd take pics should you need help.
i had a buddy of mine do it at circuit city.....i couldnt drill a hole in my own baby.....if you look under your trunk lid there should be a cable there....pos and neg....tap into that and your done, no running wires...that was there so you can put a spoiler...
I got mine from Dave Burnette at south point nissan. It cost me $365 for the spoiler, and $20 for the chmsl cover (covers third light hole on rear deck).and $10 for shipping. It was a kit that included the spoiler(paint matches perfect),wire harness(that I didn't need I already had one on car), a template,a set of torsion bars (to help with the extra weight),instructions ,and something that plugged in near the brake lights. I remember something about a warning light on the dash that could come on or something like that. This was back in Feb. Mounting was harder than I thought. I couldnt' find the size hole saws that it called for. So I had to modify a UNI bit. I'm very happy with the end results. If I had to do it again I would probably pay to have it installed.
