I had some clear 1157 bulbs lying around the house so i decided to switch the orange bulbs on the front signal lights. the problem is the clear front signals have a brownish color to them and it just doesn't match the headlights. anyone else have this problem, and if so what can i do to get some real clears?

You can purchase some clear lenses (eg clear front side markers) from autodynamic.com. They come supplied with amber bulbs.

thanks mdeal, but i was referring to the signal bulbs right next to the headlight. the stock bulbs are orange and i changed them to clear, but the bulbs still look a little brownish. i was wondering what type of bulbs i would need to get in order to match the color of the headlight better.

You can try Superwhite turn signals. That or rewire your turn signals so that the "hi" mode is always on.

I remember using super whites for my turn signals, but they came out greenish so I stuck with amber bulbs (Polarg Visual).

No prob... but I've seen other members with superwhites and theirs look whitish from the pictures. Just make sure you ask around before forking up dough.

Aren't there state & provincial guidelines re coloring of turn-signamls...you guys(gals) always talk about replacing the stock len's with clear or white...not afraid of getting caught by an over-zealous cop??????
