what'd u buy & how much was it?

Same thing happened 2 me when I bought a radar detector from someone on eBay .. I complained 2 eBay .. got his address & phone # .... threatened small claims .. it took a while .. but I got my $$ back ... then .. I found out that other people were screwed by the same guy .. so I e-mailed them of my own accord & sent them his home info & phone #'s as well ... he wasn't happy ... screw him ...

eBay will cover u up $200 with a $50 deductible ...

Leave negative feedback and find out what you can do about through ebay. I doubt they will help but I try to stay away from sellers that have alot of negative feedback and that is why I buy from sellers that accept paypal. I feel for you.

Give him hell!! You should really check out a persons feedback before you bid. A person with that many negatives and neutrals should have been avoided like the plague! I would have certainly avoided this guy at all costs!!! Empz, your feedback rating does not shine a good light on you either. Even though you may have had legitimate reasons, you really gotta work on that feedback rating of yours too, dude!!!! Gotta get back into plus territory!

Peace!

look into paypal as you pay by credit card and they have ways of backing out transactions and warning potential frauders. They also direct debit your checking account so no checks need to be mailed and sellers usually mail next day versus weeks later. Here is a link and you will get 5.00 for setting up an account......

Paypal?

I dont think so. I really cant give specifics because of some potential litigation against Paypal, but I know someone who had $3000 ripped off thru paypal.

A guy had been arrested 3 times, his accounts frozen, he had stolen $250,000 from people. A detective was trying to get Paypal to stop taking payments for this guys auctions for WEEKS!! and he was able to keep on scamming. Sorry, in my opinion Paypal is not safe.

I do not know your specifics, but have used paypal and safely for two years. Also my profession, Personal Banking Manager, puts me in a place of knowledge where if you use a credit card you can only be held legally responsible for 50.00 in fraudulent charges. Very little in risk based on potential for reward via better prices and quicker shipping that auctions bring. Let the buyer beware........and best of luck with your litigation.

If you put it that way.
You really cant trust any banks these days. I deposited 2 checks payed out to cash into my Chase checking through the ATM machine and realized afterward that I forgot to endorse them. A month goes by and still no sign that it cleared. I asked the bank clerk why it wasn't clearing and she tells me that I never made a deposit.
I go back with the deposit receipt the next day and they couldn't figure out why it didn't clear. They wouldn't say anything about the possibility that one of their employees could've stolen it while emptying out the ATM deposits!!. I had to mention that possibility and they told me that they would investigate it. Yeah right!!!
Hmm.. makes you wonder.. Could it be a conspiracy to steal $60 from me?

Do you know the two people who gave you checks made to cash?? If so, get a copy of one of the two items from their cleared statement. It will have a spray on the back that will show the tellers transaction and the deposit it cleared with. Bingo....you have your conspiracy or your thief. ATMS also spray each envelope with a code specific to the card used to track items. Most banks run dual control which would mean two people risk their employment and prosecution for 60.00 ??? Your answer is their...be persistent and honest and don't sling open threats and you will get your money.
