Clear Turn Signals & Black Housing!! **PICS**

I finally did it! I had HectorC and Dave Sz help me out w/ them the past few days. They did a phenomenal job.
Let me know what you guys think.
Daytime pics are located at post #31 (page 2) of this thread.

hehe... thanks! We gotta represent!!

nyautostyle - the only reason it looks wierd is b/c i took these pics at night and the flash is shining right through it.
Look at my sig, or on my www pics to get a daytime view of the grill. It looks great in person.

I think he took em apart himself, painted the housing, and clear the turnsignal. All from the OEM Headlight...

Oh, i didn't have the ***** to go it on my own. I had the 2 .org guys from above come over and take the WHOLE headlight apart. Baking in the oven, cooling in the fridge, all that fun stuff. It took a couple days though.
I left the rings around the lights chrome. I also left the titanium silver behind the rings as is so they can match my rims.

Bluesbrekr... funny you mention the red hellas b/c i'm actually about to order them within the next week or so.

Looking great man! Post those daytime pics asap cause I'm sure it'll look sweet during the day...that and I'm gonna do this to mine eventually since it's also black.

Can't wait to see those daytime pics so I can imagine what mine'll look like but with the addition of DDE's.

Looking nice!

Like i said above, it looks wierd w/ the flash (at night). It looks a lot better in normal light/in person.
I'm planning on painting the stock grill KH3 and putting it back on tho.

Thanks for the replies everyone!

Ohh, so you finally gained the courage to [have someone] do it? Beautiful and congrats!

Yes, put your stock grille on and paint it.. are you thinking about painting the hamburger too like Bluesbrekr's, or leaving it silver?

What can I tell ya.. look at Tom's car. I think that blacking out the whole thing would be better, esp. if you're going for the all-black look. A silver hamburger just doesn't look right on a black grille, even though I like to look at it

i think the silver nissan logo looks fine with the black gril, thats my setup. (see goldmax's sig)

It's the 02 clear tails that annoying me. Soon i'm fixing that though : ]

hey man! looks great! I just blacked out my head-lamp housings this weekend too! (on top of other lighting mods ) Just one thing though, and i'm not knocking ya. I'm actually just curious. I've seen a couple others, now including yours, that seem to have a couple pieces that didn't get paint which IMO should've. I've posted a blown up version of your pic with arrows pointed to the indicated spots. I didn't know if this was intentional, or if they just didn't want to chance it or what. Let me know! again! i'm not knocking! it looks really sweet! especially on your black max...

Well I do like the hamburger either way, I have to see it in person to decide which way looks better. But as far as the tails go, black is the only color on which they don't look that good. Except for black GLEs, those are hot!!

I painted my hamburger logo Testor's Boyd Smoke Gray Pearl. Fairly dark, but not black. I was trying to go for a black chrome look. I wanted the logo a slightly different color, but still pretty dark.

I said this above... the reason I left those areas unpainted was b/c they give a nice 2-tone look to the lights, and most importantly, it matches my TE rims PERFECTLY!

Sorry, no write up on the grill, but if you buy it from grille-tech, they give you step by step instructions.

Looks even better in the daytime....when you gonna drop it and get some rims?

If you're still running the Craptenzas, I'd strongly recommend getting different tires before winter.

man you making me want to paint my housing black too...

It might happen soon, since i need to get one open again anyways because water is leaking in!!! : /

Just wondering if you guys used some sort of silicon on the clip in parts up top, since my glue kinda got loose and didnt fill in right on my driver side light.

I am eventually gonna drop it. (go ahead Teddie, give me crap - lol) I am gonna put as much money as possible into a killer suspension before I come close to ever buying rims.

As far as the winter goes... yea, the Impotenza's SUCK, but I also bought an Explorer last year to drive through rain, snow, park in city streets, etc.... So i'm just gonna ride them till they wear out.

MJG - We used a clear aquarium silicone around the entire headlight housing when we finished to make sure no water ever gets in.

Somebody mentioned me? If you feel like blowing a grand, get JIC/coilovers... then you'll feel what it is like in my GLE ride while your Max is slammed to the ground. Oh and should you ever buy rims, I want to get my hands on your TE's

LOL.. sorry buddy, but looking at the miles you're putting on the car, I'm scared to tell you that some peeps have gotten 40-50k out of theirs... good luck getting rid them in 5 years..
