Help...small rust spot!

Hey guys, I must say that this site has been the biggest help over the past few months since I got my Max in making sure that Nissan was fixing everything correctly as I expected them to. Now I was hoping that everyone could help me out with any recommendations possible.

As I have noticed from the many threads, our paint really sucks. When I got the car in February (2001 GXE, with the unfortunate luxury of the hubcap looking wheels, but they are growing on me), I noticed some small chips in the paint on the front bumper and first foot or so of the hood. I was giving her a nice wash on Saturday since it was such a nice day and noticed that two of those chips right next to each other on the hood have turned into a nice little rust spot. Combined, they are about 1/8" across, but regardless, it still made me quite unhappy.

So what in the heck do I do??? I am by no means an expert at cars, I can just manage the basics. I am almost certain that some of you have had to have this happen. Is there something I can use to remove the rust and fill in the paint? Or am I totally off track?

Any help would be appreciated as I would love to get this done soon before the Illinois cold weather and winter start to set in. Thanks in advance.

get the rust out, clean well with rubbing alcohol.
Get a touch up paint tube from the dealer.
and your done.

3M has a sanding pen that is good at repairing small rust spots. You might want to try one of those, then go here

Thanks for the help guys. I am going to try the sanding pen and some touch-up paint this weekend hopefully. If all goes well, I will be a happy man. Thanks again.
