My scratched/dented Max

The fender is dented in pretty badly. I figure I will have to replace it. Can the bumper be buffed out? How much am I looking at spending to get the whole thing fixed? $500? Sorry for it being so dirty, I'll wash it soon. Although it won't be as gratifying.

Doesn't look too bad but...were you drunk to hit a wall you knew was there?

i think 500 should be sufficient enough to fix this "dent"

It's probably going to run you around $500 just to have the bumper properly repaired and resprayed.
For the fender and paint I'd guess another $750 -- $1000.
The reason is to that to have the job done right they are going to have to blend paint onto your hood and doors. Nissan uses a 3 stage paint and it's not cheap!

I posted this in another thread but my car wouldn't start (broken immobilizer) so I was getting it towed. I wanted to move it into my driveway from my garage. I got behind it and it started rolling and I couldn't catch up to it. It was a really stupid move on my part.

I don't think I'm going to get the whole bumper repainted, its too small of a scratch for the whole bumper, I will probably use touch up paint on it. The fender I might get replaced when I have the money.

Ouch, hate to see that. And I'm still trying to figure out how the car got away from you. Uphill or down?

My car was in the garage, which is pretty much flat. After I got the front wheels onto the driveway, which is almost at a 10 degree angle, is started rolling. The first bad idea was to move my car. The second was to push it as hard as I did. The third was to get behind it instead of push it by the A-pillar.

That's your flux capacitor. I thought you said they replaced a part in your immobilizer. That part would probably be related to that system.

Ah, now it makes sense. Well, don't beat yourself up about it. Hindsight is 20/20 - I could definately see myself doing this and then kicking myself for weeks.

From what i can see, R&I time on your fender is 1.5hrs, plus the fender needs to be sprayed, and blendes into the hood, door & bumper, and you posted a pict of your rim, which if thats scratched, a new rim will run you about $500 new from nissan. All & all to do this job right, and not 1/2 azz - u need to be prepared to spend a good 1k to $1500. There is no question as to having to blend the paint. It is base coat/clear coat - thats whats good about it - all you have to do is blend - not repaint the whole car. As for your fender - it can be repaired -doesn't look that bad from the pix, but the labor on repair is a good 1.5hrs. + R&I & Paint - so $1500 isn't really off the wall on this one here. If your looking for a cheaper OEM replacement rim - try aaarims.com, they were $248 for a rim for my TE Max, when Nissan wanted $648 - same exact rim w/o center cap.

Ouch! I thin $500 is enough to fix the damage. Is that your Jetta? Time to mod it.

That's my roommates Jetta. He would chip it but it's still under warranty and he's going to med school so he won't. He treats it like **** too.

I'm not going to fix the rim. It is scratched but only noticeable up close, plus I will never show my car. I might be able to buy a new fender (for around $100), and then get it painted and installed while taking the other off for probably around $400. The bumper is not worth it. It's too small of a scratch. I might just use some touch up paint.

I'm resurrecting this!

This is the same fender as on page 3 check it out. $400 dollars under the table and I have fresh looking Max. Plus the paint they used is better than OE Nissan yet it still matched because it's all black.
