I voted for Majestic blue. But honestly the top colors for a (A33) Maxima are Majestic Blue, One of the Silvers, Black and Pearl.

I personally would have gotten mine in Sheer Silver if it was available for '02. The Sterling Mist that I have is my least favorite of the three Silvers.

I wonder how the A33 would look in BMW Arktissilber or Carbon Black.

I prefer white w/ black interior. But since that wasnt an option. I took second best black on black.

My first choice is... (See Below ) Although the polished Titanium looks nice and unique. Gray is nice and neutral... and Igor's car gives me a new love for sunlit sand. But a clean Black Maxima is the sexiest!

Glad you brought it up since whoever made the poll has forgotten a couple of colors, including tungsten blue which replaced your satin blue..

Majestic Blue... but I'm biased.

Although, I did find out a while ago that the rarest form of a 5.5th Gen Maxima is the Majestic Blue in a 6 speed. 5% of the 2002-2003 cars (100,000 per year) were manual transmissions. Out of those 10,000 manuals, there are 7 colors. Majestic Blue is the least produced color on the list. All of which makes the Majestic Blue 6 Speed the rarest of the 2002-2003 cars.

As for the 2000-2001, I believe that the light blue color (they kept changing the name) was the least produced color. 5% were also manuals as well (10,000 for 2000-2001). That being said, I'm not sure that it's the least produced color, but I have yet to see a light blue 2000-2001 5 speed anywhere.

Studman, the numbers were something like 90,000 for 2002 and 83,000 for 2003 and the 00/01's about 120k per year... that makes you even rarer

Majestic blue is nice too....but you know what they say "once you go black, you never go back"....of course - whoever said that was talking about cars

I only see one color. Black.

Oh yeah, there's also black.

Maybe black would look good too.

Oh, and black is technically the presence of all primary colors. White is the absence of all primary colors.

i do LOVE the merlot, and if i coulda found one with a black leather interior, i woulda jumped all over that. xplayboys is GORGEOUS.

I don't know why Hamy said that grey lustre is too common of a color. It is, but not on a Maxima. The only 5.5gen I've seen was the one I drove, a 2003 GLE. All the rest are 00/01. I like it because depending on the light, it can look anything from silverish to black.

And someone edit that poll and please add tungsten blue!!!

i agree moiselle, i have seen a TON of 00-01 gray lusters, but i have seen a good amount of gray 02-03s, but with frost interior or cloth interior, which isnt what i was goin for.

Not here, for some reason I don't see any grey lustres. 4 out of 5 5.5 gens I see are sterling mist. Grey is probably even rarer than majestic blue. And black leather seems to be impossibly hard to find on anything but black or silver exterior.

The Blonde looks much better than the Frost on the 5.5 Gen especially the Glacier Pearl ones. I tell ya it was alot harder to find a Blone interior than a Frost interior when I was looking, my car was a dealer trade from a dealer 500 miles away.

I guess, I just thought that the blonde doesn't exactly match the black steering wheel that the SE comes with, or the trim around the shifter and window controls. Yes, it's rare on Glacier Pearl, same goes for the leather. It's all good though, it's a Max, gotta love it

Ya, the majestic blue just really stands out to me as the most striking color. It almost seems like a sleeper color to me like the old 4th and 5th gen dark green.

I really like my 02 Merlot SE, it is uncommon and I do get compliments quite a bit. I was looking for black but glad I went with the Merlot w/ black interior...I don't like any car in silver or beige (blah).

I'd have to go with Merlot. I may be a bid biased, however...

Yup, here we go with the newbs digging up old threads again. And this time my reasoning stands, because this thread was not a sticky or anything.

Looks like GreekMaxima never got rid of his auto.

Anyway, since the thread is revived, might as well make the most of it. It's really hard for me to say which color is best. I used to love merlot, but now I like majestic blue more. But I also think black, polished titanium, and gray lustre are all beautiful colors. I like sterling mist, but given the option again, I would choose a color with a little more life.

One thing I don't get is people's obsession with white. What's so special about it? I'm sorry, but IMHO it's just plain and boring.
