Valve Adjustment

Wondering how often would you recommend valve adjestment and how would you know if your car needs one? My Max has 60K on it and has never had it done so I am wondering how soon and if all should I have one done... How much would it cost too? Thanks...

Valve jobs on our cars are not applicable, so I wouldn't worry about them.

No, they just aren't adjustable.

To change the valve clearance, one measures it with a feeler guage, and if it's out of spec, you have to install shims under the tappets. Of course, the camshafts and all that have to come out to do this as the cam lobes act directly on tappets on top of the valves.

It would literally be cheaper to install a new engine than to pay for the labor to do a valve job.
