pulled 0507 code that is idle speed control system RPM higher than expected.
Got this after cleaning the throtle body. Anyone have any idea on how to fix this? Thanx.

Did you remove it or anything for cleaning?

If yes, FSM says most likely you've got an air leak.

If not, you could *TRY* performing the Idle Air Volume Learning Procedure EXACTLY:

I've been having the same problem for 4 days now after using nitrous on my 2002 6-speed. I've tried doing the Idle Air Volume Learning Procedure and it worked until I immediately shut the engine off and turn it back on...the SES light comes right back on with the rpm at ~900. Done it a couple of times and it's useless...need to find the source of the problem. Car rums fine though

jladislav, what is your car idling at and what year is your Maxima? If you have a 2002-2003 could you go to your thottle body and listen to see if you hear a distinct buzzing sound coming from it cuz mine is doing this? I haven't pulled my throttle body out yet but I have a feeling this could be my problem...I hope I don't have to replace it

I have a 2003 auto. I did pul the thottle out for cleaning. I used carburator cleaner because I couldn't find then throthle body cleaner. I don't hear any buzzing noise.
My car is ideling at about 850-900 rpm. I'm goin to try that Idle Air Learning Procedure I hope it works. I just passed 36,000 miles last week.

If you have an air leak after the MAF because of your nitrous install, it will keep happening. You need to find the leak.

I got the P0507 code after cleaning the throttle body. All I did was put the stock airbox back on and after a few weeks it went away.

What he means when he says nitrous install is that I may have loosened say a vacuum hose or something else during my installation of nitrous oxide.

I've checked all my vacuum lines and everything is tight and in order. I have not taken out the throtte body for inspection yet though. The electric actuator motor for the throttle body may have gone bad somehow on mine since noone else gets an electric type buzzing noise coming from theirs.

Whenever you first turn on the key before the start, you should be getting a buzzzzzzz sound.

Thanks for the replies guys. It makes that buzz noise only when the car is running at idle. I'll have to thoroughly check the throttle body and see if it makes this noise if I rev the motor.
