You're gonna' feel every frigin' bump and crevice on the road. My Maxspeeds are a bit bouncy-ish and that's not even a big drop. I've experienced the S-techs and they are hellishly bumpy...way too much for my liking.

I have Tein S-tech/Illumina's. There not bouncy at all, just stiff. I had Eibach/Blues and they sucked vs my current set-up. The only thing even remotely negative is the fact that the ride is much lower. I found that I had to watch myself a lot more when opening my door and pulling up driveways. Anyway, hope this helps.

H-Techs and Illuminas

I just replaced my Eibachs with a set of Tein H-Tech's and the ride is much nicer not to mention the rear doesn't look lower than the front anymore. I originally had the Eibachs with Tokiko Blues and the ride was just ok. I then switched to the Eibachs with the Illuminas which have to be some of the best shocks I've ever ridden on. Now with the H-Techs and the Illuminas, it's pure bliss. It's my best combo yet.

I recently installed Tein H-techs with KYB GR2's. Wow! Huge difference from stock. The car still absorbs bumps pretty well, yet the handling is light years better.

My opinion on H-techs (coming from stock, so take it with a grain of salt):

Ride - Very comfy for an aftermarket spring. Absorbs bumps well, but gets stiff fast once you get past the first part of the spring movement. Not even comparable to stock. Car feels like it's on rails by comparison. There may be "sportier" springs out there, but these perform well and have the added bonus of being easy on the @$$.

Bounciness: None so far, even with the GR2 struts. This spring isn't ultra stiff, so it seems to work very well so far with the GR2's. Reasonable ride, but significantly stiffer and more stable than stock. Much improved.

Looks - Nice drop (1.6" and 1.2"). About even, but slightly lower in the front so it gives a nice aggressive looking stance. Wheel gap is reduced to about 2 inches or so (guessing, not measured). So it looks much, much better.

Still, if you really hate having any gap, I guess S-techs (instead of H-techs) would be your only bet for making it really close. Not for me though! I like being able to just drive without worrying about every bump or driveway!

H-Techs

Yea, my H-techs kick ***. I think that they totally give the car back its luxury feeling at no expense to the handling. The car does ride a tad bit higher but then again, I've only had them on for less than 24 hours.

These springs have a beautiful gold finish. It's so nice that I was thinking of taking off the car's fenders so people could see them when I drive around town. Maybe I could also cut the rear body of the car to expose the rear springs also.

I think this question is really relative to what your use to. I came from driving a 2001 Prelude on Tein HA race coilovers with 900 spring rate. ANYTHING is going to feel better than that. I love how my S. Techs ride. IMO they are firm but still allow somewhat of a good ride. No bounce....with my 275/30 tires your going to feel every bump no matter what but I don't mind at all. One thing it keep in mind is Tein makes a really good product. Easy top 5 in the world...they aren't going to develop a crappy spring no matter what car its for.

Frigin' fantastic. It's got my vote. Rides very close to stock, handles extremely well, and the drop looks just right. No sagging, either.

I have H-techs/GR2's. The ride is not bouncy at all. BTW, the springs are there to dictate ride hight. The struts will determine how the "ride" is. Tein makes a very quality product as well. I have compared them side by side with stock and H&R's. The wheel gap is almost all gone and the car looks very even. More so than the H&R's did. If you have any other questions, just PM me.

It's a little bouncy but it's also stiff. Hold on to your car when you go over bumps and potholes because you will feel them hit hard.

I have the H-Techs and Illuminas (settings 2F, 2R) and they are absolutely great. The Eibachs that were on were good, but not this good when it comes to ride quality. These H-Techs make the car feel more luxurious than the Eibachs did.

Here is my opinion from day one:

Stock: car bounced around and was rough.

Installed Tokiko blues and Eibachs: Ride quality got better in every way except on the largest of holes. When I hit a large hole and the suspension felt like it was nearing bottom it would jar the car and everyone in it.

Installed Tokiko Illuminas: WOW, what a difference. These Illuminas with the Eibach Springs are fantastic. Very stable and firm, yet compliant except on the largest of holes or pavment transtions. I just have to slow down for these imperfections. This setup is somewhat noticable that you have something done to the suspension on Illumina setting 3 and a bit less on setting 2.

Yesterday, installed the Tein H-Techs, not the S-Techs, with the same Illuminas and now I have reached the perfect balance between comfort and handling. No one can even tell that the suspension is set up to handle because it rides so smooth and compliant. In fact the handling has got better because the suspension is working instead of tossing the car off balance when you are hitting a turn with an imperfection in it. This is the perfect street setup. I can now even drive my dad around without him *****in' about the ride quality.

Forget about the S-Techs. The S-Techs are for looks! If you want your car to be drivable like it came off the showroom floor get the H-Techs. You won't be disappointed .

Well, it's cheaper for one and coilovers are also very stiff.
