Another Y-pipe question... lol

I just compared the warpspeed y-pipe to the stock and it looks pretty much the same. How/why does this increase performance? They look the same diameter, same 02 spots (cali). Would it be necessary to replace the o2's anyway if they're fine? Its costin me $75 to replace.

WSP has no catalyst for the front bank... you sure the diameters are identical?

How did you compare? Were you under the car? Did you take of the current y-pipe? If they look the same, and only you can tell, then it's probably an aftermarket Y-pipe on your car currently. The difference between a stock and aftermarket y-pipe visually are VERY noticeable. The gains are there in combination with an intake of some kind and a B-pipe.

I'm gonna try to put my WSP Y-pipe on this weekend (on a 3.0L, which supposedly makes the most diff, and I have a PR CAI in there now)

damnit I'm excited

Good luck, I'd come down and help but I'll be away for a week. I've had mine on for a while... if you have any questions please let me know because I had a couple of issues with mine. PM me if you'd like.

feedback on ur installs when y'all finish. did y'all warpspeed owners look/feel any different? I alwyas feel more power past 3000, thats when the horses jump in. I have no idea what a catalyst part is or where the front bank is. Does it get bypassed all together? I was underneath, my muffler mechanic just looked at me and asked y?

i could feel the difference and hear it...its not that it made the car louder it was because the thing didnt fit it was leaking so much air it wasnt even funny. even after we heated the pipe up and bent it more it couldnt fit flush...i was really disapointed. power gain was noticable and was happy with that
