ive done about 4 sets of rims gunmetal they come out reall nice, neways you need FINE sand paperjust sand it down a little not to deep after that wet the rims with water and dry with some cotton cloth make sure no lint is left behind cover the tires, you can go to pepboys and get gunmetal paint , (engine Paint) it last longer and protects against all the heat your brakes produce, hold the can about 8 inces fron thte rim and spray side to side dont aim at jsut 1spot its drip do about 3 coats let each one dry b4 you do the other at the end sparay a LIGHT coat of clear coat for a nice shine oh yea after sanding take some rubbing alchol and rub that on the rim THEN wash them. hope this helps this is how ive dont the last 4 sets they came out BANGING ! if you eant u could take of the chromr maxima emblem in the middle paint them and stick it back on itll look sick !

Do yourself a favor and get them powdercoated! It will last for ever and look much nicer, no chips or dings. I had my SSR GT3s done in Grey Lustre and it looks sooo much better than silver! Good luck with the project if you end up spray painting them, but I'd look into Acme Powdercoating. They did mine w/ a lifetime warranty for $120 or so per wheel.
