squeaky brake pad?

I have noticed an audible squeak coming from my right front wheel on my '02 max. It can be heard with the windows down. It constantly squeaks while driving and ceases when I press on the breaks. I thought it was due to a worn pad but when I brought it into the mechanic he said there's plenty of meat on the pad but since it's metallic it could be the cause. I don't agree with the mechanic because if that were true shouldn't my other pads make the same noise?

Anyone experience similar problems with the brakes on their '2 max?

Yes, mine does the same thing when i first get in it in the morning, but as soon as i tap the brake it goes away. I've never investigated further since it goes away so easily... BTW I have ceramic pads, not metallic...

I'm thinking about getting ceramic pads to get rid of the noise. What brand did you use?
Thanx

I honestly don't remember, I bought them at autozone for like $39. They work great and don't put out nearly as much dust. I love them...

took mine to a mechanic yesterday and he said its the pad hitting the rotor. I, too, was getting the pads changed as I thought it was the wear indicator. Plenty of pad left.
