Can someone please explain the differences in model years for 5th gen. I'd also like to know differences in engines. Is there a certain year I should stay away from?

2k2/2k3 have more features like standard hid, bigger engine and more hp, different colors (but still crappy paint), available navigation system, 6 speed instead of 5 uhhh thats all i can think of at this second. goto www.edmunds.com and compare 2k/2k1 to 2k2/2k3. my 2k has had igintion coil problems and weak rotors. im not sure if its fixed on the 2k2's+

 

To add Gsilk for the 02/03's,Different seats, trip computer, gated shifter,different Instrumentation,different radio face, avail 6 disc in dash,avail. heated steering wheel,avail. memory seats, side sills, one touch sunroof controls, different rims, different front bumper and Grille, different steering wheel, revised window controls and remote feautures, different tail lights and muffler, avail HSLD on manual, larger front brakes, revised arm rest with pop up feature thats all I can think of

 

The '02 steering wheel is the same as the '01s, just with the chrome logo in the center if I remember right. 2001 was when it changed style. And the muffler is the same, it just has different tips.

BTW, the pop-up armrest is on all 5th gens. Also somewhere in 2001 they changed the design of the grab handles on the interior.

And to add to the list of '02 changes: Drive-by-wire
