What's this Mag-Lite mod?

Can somebody give me some details on the Mag-Lite mod? I can't seem to find much information in the stickies, and as we all know, no search ability.

I recently realized what a useful mod this might be.

Get a maglite clip holder and screw it in on the outboard of the drivers side door. and there you have it the "Maglite Mod". For a pic go to page 2 of my webpage.

or is it just a place to keep your maglight rather than your trunk?
slightly confused but thanks in advance.

Hmm... Not a bad Idea... I just slip my mag in between the passenger seat and the center console. Works just the same for me.

2. wtf? there are about a million things you could use the large maglite for....if you drive off the road and land in a lake, use it to smash the window to get out of the car.....use it for self-defense....but most likely, use it to LIGHT THINGS UP. i can change a flat in the dark, but What if you have an engine breakdown at night? Try seeing anything under the hood on a dark night without a flashlight. ...whatever. Not sure how this could qualify as a "foolish" mod though. I mean, even if you NEVER use it, there's absolutely no downside to carrying a convenient flashlight

Mighta been you on here (wasn't me) but I've had a 3D Maglite bracket on the lower b-pillar of my triumph for 10 years (holding the light vertically)

irish,

please. there are other things that can be used easily for the stuff you posted. you are just cause i posted the mod was FOOLISH!
lets see

if you drive off the road and land in a lake, use it to smash the window to get out of the car.....i can use my fist for that. if used properly, it will shatter the window, without hurting your pretty hands. i thought you would have training for that.

use it for self-defense....again. what happened to fists?? okay, if not fists, then the base ball batt, sitting where the foolish mag-light sits. Which could be easily used for smashing the window and self-defence.

What if you have an engine breakdown at night? Try seeing anything under the hood on a dark...i have a halogen light for that.

I can change the tire without any lights...

Sorry dude... And what you posted does not even come close to a million uses....

Do yourself a favor and. Get a belt, pull your shorts up past your boxers, put your shirt back on, turn your hat toward the front and lose the F town crew lingo. Your 20 years old and in college, act like it.

ooookaayyy.....so again, please explain how it is "idiotic." Please, please use your big head to tell us exactly what the downside is to having a convenient flashlight. Seriously, I really just want to know what it hurts to have a flashlight by your seat. Does it slow the car down? Does it hurt handling? what?

I mean, is it less useful than your AE pedal covers? (no, people, I am not ******* AE pedals, just making a point)

Dude, I've been on your side in arguments/discussions here on the org before, but this time you're just acting like you have a stick up your a s s.....

Seriously, not sure why you're so "ANTI-" flashlight....

I can see being hardcore against a ricey erector-set tail or those 6" exhaust tips, but seriously....how do you have such strong feelings about a flashlight?

Between you and Wheelman, you two sound like a couple of dumb a s ses.... :attention :attention :attention

ok, try fitting a baseball bat there, and try swinging the bat inside your car. Oh but you probably use a T-ball bat considering your maturity level.
What if you have an engine breakdown at night? Try seeing anything under the hood on a dark...i have a halogen light for that.
so why is a flashlight "foolish" and a halogen one is "not foolish"? So instead of just reaching down by the seat, you have to go back to the trunk and get it out? wow.
I can change the tire without any lights...
wow, you are the coolest guy EVER! You are AMAZING!

IBTL (please)
