Can the MAF issue be finally settled?

Ok, all this talk aobut blown MAF or replacing MAF making car run like new makes people tihnk its some magic solution. How does one tell they need to replace the MAF. In some posts people stated that the car wont be able to rev above certain RMP if the MAF is malfunctioning. But what if u get power across the whole rpm range but some hesitation only exists form acelerating from standstill, does this qualify for MAF replacement.

it has been settled..you just dont understand.
if you cant rev past a certain point (3 or 4 i think) then its the MAF. the car is "retarding" itself so the engine isnt damaged.
if you have power across the the whole RPM range but slow acceleration then it isnt the MAF. its coils, spark plugs, dirty throttle body, or dirty fuel line.

I have the same low end hesitation, but it is mostly noticeable when it is warming up.

I had a huge power loss at 5rpms. I would accelerate then it would just violently jerk back when hitting 5K. probelm was a fuel pump and filter. Replaced both, ran like a charm afterwards. Also had low all around power loss at all rpm's, when I first got the car. Solution: new plugs
