Warpspeed Y-Pipe Question

I am thinking of getting a new y-pipe... The Cattman is like 350 from SWA, the warpspeed is 199 for the Aluminized Y and 275 for the Stainless Steal Y.

Any idea what the major difference is with the Aluminized and Stainless? Obviously the Stainless one will look better i am sure.... any performance difference?

The Warpspeed aluminized Y-pipe might still be $160 SHIPPED per the Group Deal, actually.

It is $160... the link http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=311843

Not that I'm telling you to buy it or anything.... do your research and consider the comments of more experienced org-ers....

For the love of god read my new thread on Warpspeed products. Because I chose to save money I am may be OUT AROUND $500 unless by the grace of god Dallas is willing to help me. Their y-pipe does not fit properly (TREMENDOUS amount of stress on the flex section or that could just be because the rest of my exhaust doesn't fit). My exhaust section is banging on the subframe and undercarriage so badly that parts of the exhaust pipes are CAVED IN. My gaskets are blown and my car sounds like a ****box. All this after 6 months. Just buy another exhaust. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. Stay tuned for pictures to be posted soon...BTW: I have laughed at by a few exhaust shops who told me I was robbed

DO NOT BUY WARPSPEED.

Go with Budget Performance for cheap, or Cattman for more $$

Sweet. You got to love The Org for stuff like this. I guess I will be checking into the Budget Y-Pipe. Most likely I will buy the Cattman from SWA for 350 since my wife wants a gym membership for a yr and its nearly the same cost! I appreciate all the experience of the Org folks... you just cant beat it.

So you're playing the "If you can buy that, then I can buy this" game huh? Sounds familiar...

Ya she hit me with this right as I was waking up this morning. I may now even be able to throw a b-pipe in it as well since she has also asked me for a 3 month membership to the tanning joint... its the birthday and christmas presents wrapped into one she says... hahah...

So, y-pipe, maybe b-pipe.... maybe hiflo cat... we shall see.

i would go with the y-pipe, b-pipe, but leave out the cat. The cats that come on most newer semi-performance cars are already hiflow. You will not gain power by replacing it and actually it is illegal to replace your cat under your circumstances (unless defective in which case Nissan would replace it)

Ok, well it sounds like I may have to save up for a couple months and get the Cattman SS y-pipe instead of going cheap right now. That's probably the right way to go anyway, this way I can go ahead and order my FSTB and RSB.

Yeah, I was thinking about ordering the ebay one and then painting it black to try to blend in with the engine and the exterior paint. Going to give it a try and see how it comes out.

This statement is not true. I've had a Cattman Y-pipe for a few years now and it's definitely rusted. Not completely rusted through yet, but the parts that were crimped over the flex section ends to hold it in place have rusted through and fallen off. The fitment wasn't all that great either. I don't know what Cattman's current generation of Y-pipes is like but I hope it's much better than what I got.
