Nissan service sucks...My honda service infact checks and replaces more than what the nissan one does and that too for the same price.
I would say take the list to a local guy with your own parts/supplies and get it done for cheap...
BTW Cisco....you work for Cisco Systems?

Takkar- Thats what I plan on doing being the fact that most nissan serrvice centers in ny are rip off artists. I dont work for cisco, however I am a CCIE specializing in security & voice. Currently I am on the beach...

Cisco,
i also have a 2000 and I actually did the 60K Tunup at 55K and did it all myself with the help of a hydraulic lift that i used at my regular mechanics shop. I did it after hours so that i would be taking away business and a lift from him.
Didnt really take that long either maybe 2 or 3 hours as far as i remember.
I say get the parts and do it yourself or take to a local mechanic, Nissan centers are known to rip people off, esp around here.

As always, F@(# that @(#*. $500 for that? LMAO. Yes, a DIYer can do all of it. If you don't want to do a couple of things then have a mech do them for you, but the entire $60k tuneup thing is money down the toilet.
If you need the ECU upgrade, it's $60 or $90, so do it separately. I have a 9/99 2000 max and I bought it at 37k. I don't know if the ecu code has been updated, but I've had no problems with the car.

Cisco,
yeah i changed the belts on my 2000 Max when it had 55K on it.
I dont think it was neccassary but it did cost that much since i only paid for the belts themselves and did the work myslef. I just like to have my car running in perfect condition and i do ride on it hard so i thought i might as well change the belts as well.

Just called Nissan here in Harrisburg, PA...they want $520. Change all fluids, radiator flush, oil,..everything. Rotate/balance, change spark plugs, belts if needed...Cost is $230 for a service like Schernov had done, minus the belts.
