A/C Blower Fan Stuck on High

Recently bought a 2K1 GLE w/ 19K on it...car's in great shape, but now the a/c blower fan seems to be stuck on high. I read somewhere in the 4th Generation forum that it's probably just a resistor which needs to be replaced.

Does anyone have any experience with this on a 5th gen? And if so, does anyone know the part number for that resistor??

Thanks...JimF

you have the auto climate control since its a GLE...when you press the auto button and set the temp to say 75degrees do you see the 4 fan icons slowly light up? if so the car is trying its best to get it to the temp you want. once it reaches a close enough number to 75 the fan will die down and start blowing on your feet making them ice cold.

well, the problem doesn't seem to have much to do with the ACC though, at least that's what I think. even when I put it on manual, the fan icons will move from low to high and vice versa, but the actual speed of the fan remains on high. thoughts?
