Transmission shifting rough

i just acquired a 2000 i30 with 108k and the transmission seems to be shifting rougher than its suppose to (the jerking motion) i was wondering if flushing out the transmission fluid is a good idea, and if not what can i do (it gets annoying sometimes, but im picky about everything) any insights would be great....by the way how do you use the search options? it says something about restricted to certain people.

I have a 2001 SE and i get the jerky motion too especially when crawling through traffic...the dealer says its normal as the RPMs are not too high for it to go into second gear and it does...but other than it's shift normally under normal driving conditions...what do you experience and at what RPM shift?

mine will shift around 2.5-3.5k depending on how light my foot is, but its annoying because it should be smooth and not jerky. are nissan transmissions known for this? im on the 405 alot and it gets really annoying! but my main concern is, will it damage my transmission

Yes, replace the fluid.

Redline MT-90 works very well but only for awhile. If you want the synchronizers to last longer use conventional gear oil.

You know, I was also thinking that when I posted but for some reason thought he was talking about a manual. My bad. He needs a ATF flush.
