I've always loved the majority of your car. Gonna be sad to see it go. Hopefully the new buyer finds the .org too...

Thanks Triple8Sol. I too will be sad to see it go. It runs great! Sounds great and would be very quick if it wasn't for all the weight in the back from the stereo. Even with the weight, it holds it's own! I will be sure to point the new owner towards the org.

PhxBlue, I am building the G35 and will use the $ from the Max to help fund it (Greddy TT kit is expensive!!!), plus there are too many cars around the house...We need a truck.

brunoma you cant sell that!
I decided to get a 2k max after I saw your cardomain page a lil while back.

I recommend parting out all of the AM parts since no one will give you its true value. Already attempted that on a VW Jetta.

I'm thinking it is worth $30k as it sits. I was hoping some of the org members might offer their opinions on what they think it is worth...you know, let me know if I'm on crack and should part it out instead.

I'd ebay it. Think of the lowest amount you'd be willing to accept, and set as reserve, sit back and watch what happens.

As always, you'd get more if you parted it out, but as a package 30K probably sounds about right. Then again, there's all that time and effort to uninstall the crap too...

First off, believe me, I really love your car. It's prob my favorite show Max of any gen.

So to answer your question, the car really looks great, but there are a few things I would've done differently such as: big mouth front end; Invader hood; bigger rims...basically 19's or even wide 20's with rolled/cut fenders, especially w/those massive brakes; I never understood the GTC craze anyways; stock orange/red bumper lenses; and I'm not a fan of Lightning Audio...however if I had the chance for a full sponsorship from them, I wouldn't be dumb enough to turn it down...lol.

That's basically all, and only b/c you asked. I drool over the other 95%, which is damn good considering how much you have done, and how much tastes/preferences can differ b/w peeps.

That's a very nice looking car, except that I think you overdid it rather badly with the decals. Without them though it's hot, both inside and out. The paintjob is superb, and the wheels are excellent too. Very nice max. I can't believe you'd drop many thousands in a car with only 40k and then get rid of it already! Anyway, I have no idea what it's worth after all those mods. Modding tanks the value of a car often, but yours really has so many upgrades with low miles that if somebody wanted a moded max, this wouild be a good one to buy, so I'm guessing somewhere in the 20s.

I suspect that your G35 is going to be a bad boy when you're finished with it, and you clearly have the taste (and more importantly the money) to do it right.

Triple8Sol, I value everyone's opinion and you make some good points on the car. When we set out to build it, we had to make some compromises as it would be used primarily as a demo vehicle for Lightning Audio. The Stillen front end at the time was the only poly eurethane kit out and since this car gets transported a lot to and from shows, fiberglass wouldn't last 1 trip.

Bigger wheels, flared fenders, yeah, that would definately look good! As it is, the rear fenders were rolled to fit the 18 x 8 GTC's.

I am a big fan of the GTC's.....I just put a set on the G35 in RBC (black chrome) and they look hot (20 x10.5 Rear, 20 x 8.5 front)! But that is what makes building cars fun...Pleasing your own tastes first.

I wanted to change my red/orange lenses, but the car is in California a lot and the cops pull you over for that (as well as anything else they can think of)...As it is I have been pulled over three times in So CA this year!!!

As far as Lightning goes, most people have never experienced the Lightning Audio Storm line. That is the reason this car was built! It is some of the highest end product on the market and the Storm modular subs are arguable the best sub woofers at any price! (and one of the most expensive) I am not surprised you are not a fan yet...as you haven't been exposed to this product yet. There are only a couple hundred dealers in the US so far handling this particular LA product.

SkoorbMax, I agree, the stickers need to go!

Again, thanks for your opinions on my Maxima and wish me luck in selling it...Otherwise be on the lookout for the parts list from hell from this car!

I saw your car at SEMA last year. It looked great, but I do think you will have a hard time finding someone that will be willing to spend a high dollor amount on a maxima. Your car is one of the best I have seen and is def. worth a high asking price. Try to offer the car to a sponser. Good luck and all the best..

Hey Mark...

it was good talking to you at the drift show in irwindale the other week... me and my buddy tony were the guys who talked to you about your max for about an hour... lol... (and at the CES show last year )

so you're definitely ready to part with the max huh...?

i hope you're able to find someone who can pony up the 30 large, the car's definitely worth it... i wouldn't bother with ebay though... you're better off selling it to a maxima enthusiest - someone who can appreciate all the mods and effort put into the car...

but like everyone else says, if you can't find a buyer for the car as it is, you should probably try parting it out....

speaking of parts, if you wanna donate the stereo system to me, i'll say that i'm sponsored by LA, no problem!

anyways, good luck and I'm sure i'll see you and the new G at another show somewhere, sometime...

Ebay...definitely. WOW~! Very very nice Max. I've never seen it before. Wish I would have seen it in person, since I'm somewhat local.

Who did the paint/body work, if you don't mind?

Good luck with the G, but I'd wait for APS to release the G version of their TT kit they just started shipping for the Z.

that car is amazing and all of us can appreciate what it is worth but as far as recoving what is spent to bring to to that point , very unlikely. i would say $26000 is fair

It's worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

$25-30k does not seem unreasonable, if you can find the right buyer, who has $30k cash to drop on a car, or can secure a loan somehow for it. But it's hard to put your labor into price terms. How much $ does spending 10 hours getting that new mod "just right" add?

It really sucks to see any car with that many mods being sold, and it's even harder if you're the seller, since you end up having either seller's remorse really bad, or you start to have nightmares about the person who bought it getting into a wreck.

I bought this sweet peice of nissan ***!

First of all Brunoma is the master of all that is nissan. That being said, I was so lucky Maxima.org exists. I didn't get a few parts but at least I saved it from the dealership! Anyhow my future plans are to sell the SC kit with the intercooler and afc2 as a unit(Possibly the nos set-up too). I'm hoping to talk to the guys at PFI and see what the deal for sponsorship programs are, if that even exists with them. I've got an extra 2001 motor with 8500 miles on it that i bought for $600 that I'd like to get built to handle the PFI kit. Ohhh I forgot.... I did manage to finance this car. The amount I payed isn't important, but lets just say that when he's done with his new I may have to rethink my maxima craving......

Any output or Performance numbers with those mods?
I'd be curious as to the HP and TQ it was generating at the wheels
and what it would be capable of on a Track, With smaller Wheels.
