I like them...Looks pretty tight. Only thing is I would have kept it so they both matched, 8000K head, fog or 6000K head, fog. My friend just matched his head and fog lights in his S600. It looks tight when you see it coming at you.

At night i hve been running with just the DDE's and HID fogs and it turns alot of heads. the fogs light up the road very well. The DDE's are also surprisingly bright. I'm finding it difficult to get a good picture at night without a glare from the DDE's.

The HID fog kit is an entire kit with bulbs, ballasts and wiring harness. There is also so modding to be done to the stock fog housing. Not a small job but definitely worth it.

The 6000 and 8000 are actually the closest possible color match for the bulbs considering the very different reflectors in the headlight and fog housing I do not believe they make a 6000 D2R (which is what's required for this car).

You've got to install an HID kit on them. I converted my last car's headlamps to HID - 99.5 A4 with halogen projectors. Its pretty straight forward, you buy an HID kit with the correct bulb size of the fog lights (H3?), connect the ballast to the bulb, wire up the ballast to the 12V wiring harness for the stock bulb. Your biggest problem would be finding a place to mount the ballast, I assume.

You also might experience a drop in voltage when you turn on the fog lamps as the ballast pulls a lot of voltage initially, but only requires 12V to stay lit.

Kits are around $400? Less nowadays probably.
