5 vs 5.5 paint

Is it me or is the 5.5 gen paint a lot more glossy than my paint? I have a 2k and whenever I see another pearl white 2k2 2k3 i notice how wonderfly bright and shiny they are.

Not sure about the paint differences, but I do get quite a lot of comments on the color of my car in regards to the pearl shine.

Could be the fact that our paint is 2 to 3 years newer than your paint. I notice your in cali, a couple years under that sun can't be good for the paint.

The reason it looks different is because the paint colors are different. the 2002/03's white color is Glacier Pearl and the 2000/01's white color is the Icelandic Pearl. Both different shades of white.

Im talking all colors in general though. I have compared other 2k 2k1 with 2k2 2k3 and it seems every color is a lot glossier. Is it a different type of paint or different type of clear coat?
