well, first off... if its a knock off you could have possibly got ripped off. Second, just sign up on www.cardomain.com and upload a picture and copy and paste the link in here by right clicking on the picture properties

in order to post a pic you have to have a place of host like "cardomain" put the pic there get the address by right click on the pic then go to property. put it here by adding " " to the beg. and end of the address. good luck

Hell no, if its too short you will need to be a real good metal guy to extend that bar and keep it with in specs. I think your screwed. you sure you got the right year for your car

sounds like they sent you one for the wrong model, maybe they sent you an Altima one or something. Do you have a packing slip that mentions the model anywhere? did the sell offer a return policy?

the altimas have a rear sway bar with independent rear suspension. Couldn't be another model cause the maxima sway bars fit 95-03

and btw, what is it a knock off of? stillen, etc

I assume you got this one and it appears to be the only one they make so yeah it couldnt be for another model. I was told it's a stillen knock-off in a differnt thread when I inquired about it. I bought the cattman/progress instead.

Before that, why not measure it's, and find someone on the forums with the same unit (or a stillen) who can measure theirs and do some mathematical comparisons just to make sure.

Make sure you are trying to mount the brackes to the outside of the bar. if you try mounting on the inside, that would make up the inch gap.

Here's the actual stillen item the brackets are on the 'outside' of the U shaped bar.
That may be how you have it already. Just trying to rule out all the small stuff.

When you say too short, do you mean the ends of the bar don't reach the trailing arms on both sides of the car? It's kind of hard to tell from the pictures.

Also, did the suspension change from independent to rear axle sometime between '89 and '03?

Sounds like you are doing everything right. probably time to call the seller. at least they are a U.S. store that might have a good return policy.

yea, of course you use bolts to hold the sway bar on! There should be two holes on each flat side of the bar, four total. 2 bolts for each bracket, two brackets to a side so four bolts each side, 8 bolts total.

the stillen unit also comes with 16 washers, 8 nylock nuts, and one spacer to space out the e-brake cable

Dude, to post a picture do this:

Open it up, right click, click properties, copy the link and paste it in your post, the right before it w/o spaces or commas put in "" at the end.
