A few Q's about p1320 code.

Got my first SES, went to AutoZone came up with p1320, FSM said coils or crank. pos. sensor. Car runs fine, but I am figuring I will be replacing some coils, rather than crank. pos. sensor, since coil packs are a known problem on the 2000.

When I did the plugs a few months ago I noticed about half the coils had a gray dot. So some of the packs had been replaced before i got the car..... but I cant recall if the new or old ones are the ones with the dot.

Is Dave B the cheapest to get these from? I know plenty of people on this board have gone through this, so any info you think could be of help would be appreciated.

not sure if you got the info from the other threads. grey dot indicates the newer coils. if i were you, id replace all the ones that did not have the dot. a member by the name twillin was selling new coils for pretty cheap but not sure if he has anymore or what price they are at now. dave b will be just about any dealer you come across and since you have done the plugs, the coils should be a breeze.

i paid 20 bucks/coil less from daveB than down the street after shipping, sells 'em for 50 instead of 73(but my dealer may be a rip off) although autozone was about 70 also
