What do you think it is?
As of recently i've noticed the car doesn't start on the first crank. Before i would flip the switch and on the first shot it would start, now it seems like it takes a couple of cranks by the starter to start the car. I've also had some times when i've had to turn the key back to the off position and turn it once more. I'm suspecting it either is the battery (which has died on me once & is factory) or maybe the ignition coil? I also thought i might be the key, not sending the signal to the ignition switch.....but i don't think that anymore.
So what do you guys suggest?

Not too long -ZIPPIN-, just noticing that it's not going on the first turn over. If this goes on or gets worst i'll look into a new battery as that's that cheapest.
Hope it's not the starter irish.......that would suck replacing.

If it was the battery, then the first failed startup would sound slow, like the starter just didn't want to turn over. If it's trying to turn over at the same speed as normal but just doesn't, it could be any number of things. I wouldn't say coils as the 3.5 max's have good coils and I've never really heard of them failing. What kind of gas do you use? My '00 max was having the same problem until I replaced faulty coils AND my fuel filter. The filter was nasty and probably should have been changed long ago. Maybe you have a clogged fuel filter, I dunno

Yea, i don't know guys.....i use 93 octane gas, so i don't think it's gas. I honestly think it's the "crank power". Plus i don't think it's a big enough issue for me to take it to Nissan, knowing how they are they'll probably try to stick for me for some big $$$ when it might be something simple. Thanks for suggestions guys, appreciate it!
It was the battery!
Cheap nissan battery left me stranded yesterday. Car won't start, luckily i was in a shopping plaza where there was a Pepboys where i could get a jump. I headed straight to a yellowtop and once in the car started up perfectly. On the way to buy the battery, the stupid car died again in the parking lot of where i was going to buy the yellowtop. I actually had to push the car into a space. Now the car feels smoother and fires right up on the first crank. If you don't have one yet, get one. They're worth every penny.
