How many of you actually watch the technicians work on you car?
The nearest I get is pearing through an opaque window.
I get too nervous sitting in the waiting area. Far more nervous than I ever was when my kids were born. I figured my wife wouldn't get scratched, but those mechanics can scratch my Maxima
I want to have the fuel-cut TSB done. But they frown on customers in the work area.

All the time. The entrance to the service desk goes along the wall of the garage so I just stand there (behind the yellow line, of course) and watch. I'm sure they loath that. Oh well.

I sure they hate it when I just stand there and practicaly watch the whole thing. I've been back 4 times since Sept for oil/rotation/rotors getting cut, and each time I stand there like a Supervisor with a watchful eye. They must think I'm weird.

Every time I go I walk around the outside peering into the various bays until I find my car. I then camp out and watch their every move. I'm there worst nightmare.

I do....but they still left a key scratch near the key hole....dun understand why cant they use keyless entry. I usually go there early in the morning so their uniform is still clean....so they wont stain my seats.

No - the customer waiting area is above the shop so the window looks over the shop so unless my car is in the bay directly underneath the waiting room, I can see everything. It's pretty nice.

When I stick around (90% of the time) I watch the guy or check other things on the car, like looking for rust on the underside of the car and stuff like that.

If they refuse to let me in the shop I leave, or I never go back.

The Space Shuttle!!

well... actually they've got a courtesy van (since they don't do loaners). You get a one way trip within a 5 mile radius. If you're nice they'll pick you up too.
