Ok, so I know that the 2001 doesn't have the resonator so we don't have the nice 3" hole to put the hosing directly into. My question is how did you attach the hosing? Did you drill a hole in the scoop? Did you buy the 2000 scoop and use that instead? I have the day off tomorrow and I was thinking of visiting Home Depot and picking up the necessary parts for it. Any info the 2001 owners could give would be great. Thanks guys!!

ok i had this dilema because i have a late 2000 model year which also came without the resonator... the 2000 hoodscoop that has the opening in it already does not fit on the 2001s... It is a little too short... i ordered one but since its short its sitting on my desk right now and i gotta send it back for a refund... What i did was cut the bottom of mine off with a scissor... it still has the 3" thing at the bottom just its covered so u just cut the bottom peice off and attach the coupler to that and just follow the other directions... basically just cut the bottom off...

Alright....Thanks for the info psing23!! I will take a look at it tonight and make sure we are on the same page. I appreciate it!! For others wondering what we're talking about, I'll take some pictures so we can get some info for the 2k1 owners that are thinking about the OSCAI!!

I can’t wait to try this out if I ever have free time again…

Would love some details.

Thanks!

I brought my Handy "HAND SAW" to it ... cut the Bottom off, then used a "FILE" to file the Rough Edges down, so no Loose Pieces will get into my Intake, and to help smooth out the air coming in!

Also I didn't like using FLEX/DUCT Tubing (too Restrictive), or whatever its called ... I used a Extention Piece of a Shop Vac, about 1 foot long, Cut off about 5" , So now my OSCAI is SMOOTH and Straight ... It looks like a REAL Intake!!!

At the END of it ... I used a SHOP VAC, Attatchement (kinda like the Front of a Vaccume) Its 4 X 3 Inches, its a SCOOP!
So Whatever AIR gets in the 4 X 3" Space gets Sucked RIGHT up the Pipe into the Engine!

Attatched the Intake Pipe to the Hood Scoop with a Rubber Coupling!

Had to CUT the Black Plastic on the Bottom of the car so the OSCAI can stick out!

My OSCAI is ADJUSTABLE too ... For STREET use I have it it Raised JUST so the OSCAI Scoop sticks out from under the car!

For the TRACK ... I can LOWER the PIPE so that my OSCAI SCOOP is Lower So gets more Cold Air!

Hey, this is a good plan. Do you have pictures? If not, you're talking about the solid extensions for reaching under tables and such for a shop-vac? Not a flexible piece of plastic, right, but a solid non-maleable piece?

Please take some pics if you can. Any differences in the stock setup on the Canadian 2k1's and the US versions??? You've got the Canadian build, right?
