i kknew my car felt faster and the new tranny nissan put in shifts a lot harder then the previous...well here it is after comin back from the track tonite

best run of the night:
it was a clear beautiful night and at 7:32pm on Oct 8, 2004
Temp: 67* very low humidity

mods: HKS rear section only, stock engine bay
2003 Autotragic

R/T: .485
60' : 2.047
330: 6.018
1/8: 9.288
MPH: 75.90
1000: 12.106

i had 5 other runs.. runnin 14.6xx, 14.7xx consistently with 2.1xx 60'
but this was my 3rd run of the night and i got the launch perfectly power brakin around 1.8k rpm...still had some wheel hop but not much as the other runs. this week im puttin on a y-pipe, and hopefully a b-pipe with it and i can smell low 14's in the air!! maybe high 13's if i keep up with these 60'

What track did ya go to? How far away is it? Just curious.... I'm in VA and might wanna get my car out for a couple runs in the near future.....

Wait, why did ya have to have a new tranny put in anyway? Is this a replacement or an upgrade?

Hey man, I'd love to come out, but school is a pain right now... plus I need new tires and I'm waiting for my HPs and Progress springs to go in.... and maybe a y-pipe if I can find a good deal soon (ideally headers but that's just a dream for now given the absence of an income).... *sigh* the life of a poor grad student.... you guys will definitely see me sometime in the near future though...

So what happened with your tranny?

I'm assuming the new transmission was properly broke in prior to today's track day?

GEEZ got VHT? I can barely pull those 60's on slicks at my track...Awesome and Im glad to see others running incredible times at other tracks. Maybe one day some of the "track gurus" will quit thinking Rockingham is SOOOOOOOOOO much faster than every other track. AWESOME!!!

Good job!! Now you are running mid 14's. Damn I got new rims and tires too. I want to run it to track but I know I will run low 14.4 or 14.5. I am going to track with more mods.

That short time is nuts. They musta been spraying track bite before your run. No way you are running 2.0xx on street tires w/o great track prep.

Good Job Gooey.
