yes, I test and test these couple months any notice this on and off squeaking noise from the left front tire when I turn left @ < 5 mph, about 1/2 to 1 1/2 circle of steering wheel. it sounds like a brake squeaking but if it is....it shouldnt be on and off.....eh?

please help, thx

I rememebr someone mentioning a grinding-type sound when turning... I've read that if you have 17" there is some sort of stop installed to prevent the wheel from turning all the way... rumor has it that if you hit that stopper frequently enough, something wears out, and makes noise...

I'm not sure of the specifics, but it's certainly something to look into...

thx for the post. I have searched the furom and found similar ones buy not exactly matches my case. I have 16" wheels and I have already showed the problem to my dealer....turned out that it did not happen at all when the tech had a ride with me.....we circled the entire parking lot of 3 - 4 times.....put our heads out and we did not hear anything...it is very unpredictable..

hopefully it is not the rotor.....

thx again

Heh... i know what you mean... I've gotten at least 2 "could not replicate customer's concern"... everything always seems to work perfectly when i go down to the dealer to have my car checked out...

If you can't convince your dealer, then may I suggest you attempt to video tape/audio tape the problem... so that you can at least prove that you aren't imagining it...

PS.. i don't know if the rotors would squeek unless you were pressing the brakes.. (are you?) Cuz after I wash the car, they always squeek and bind for the first few minutes... (in fact, you can visibly see the rust on them)..
Same thing if the car sits "un-driven" for a longer period of time...

I guess our maxi just like the kids who are affraid to go see doctors.....=)

Was I perssing the brake?
yup....light tapping of the brake when this problem occurs. but I dun feel mcuh brake pedal shaking when I do high speed braking...

maybe I should insist them to do an exam on the brake and suspension.....

but they would charge me if they cant find any problems though....

thx
