ABS Light

About a week ago I was testing out the handeling of my car around a turn. I was accelerating doing about 70 and my ABS light turned on. I pulled in a parking lot and turned the car off and then back on, and the light was still on. When I was working on my stereo system I unplugged the battery for a couple hours hoping that would reset it, but its still on. Also, when I turn the key there is a whine under the hood, and my friend mentioned he thought it could be coming from a motor for the ABS system?? Basically I was just wondering if this has happened to anybody else or what it could be from? I am planning on taking it to the dealer since I'm still under warranty, but I was wondering if I should expect they to blame it on me lowering the car and it having something to do with the suspension. Thanks in advance

Well, the reason the ABS light is on is because when you turn your key into ACCESS position, ABS system goes thru a self test. If somethinkg is wrong, the light comes on. I suspect it is one of you ABS sensors. They are located on each wheel. Rear ones are behind the brake dust shield and front ones are by the hub. Trace each one to make sure they are plugged in (the plug will be about 12=20 inches away from the hub). If they are pluged in tight - go to the dealer and they will be able to tell in 5 seconds which sensor it is. If dealership is ****ty they will blame it it on your suspention/wheels etc.... My right rear ABS sensor went out at 68k miles (I have an '02) - it got goodwilled by Nissan. If not - they are about 140 bucks, and you can do it yourself, you just take your wheel off and unscrew it. if the dealer does not have one -check infiniti dealers for parts - same part number.
