Installing seats help

I am trying to install leather seats in my 00 max. I have 03 leather seats which I picked up from a junkyard. The problem is the drivers side seat on the 03 Max is a memory seat and has a different plug than the 00 Max seat which did not come with the Memory seat option. The passenger side fit jsut fine. I was wondering if anyone has done this, and which wires from the 03 Max seat should be attached to the two wires coming out of the drivers side floor to attach to the seat. Any help would be appriciated, you guys on the forum are great, love the mods you guys do.

Thanks,
Jake.

Check out the wires- color wise, and where they go to. There should be a few motors under the seat, check out if they are the same style motors and all, then once again check out the wire colors and where each wire goes vs the 00 seat. I would cut the harness connectors off both seats- giving myself about 2" of extra wire out of the connectors. Then solder them togheter and see if it works. To do this correctly you would need a wire diagram for 03 and 00 seats to have this working. Its doable, I venture to say if the wire colors and everything else looks the same on a 03 seat vs 00 seat, the harness connectors are probably the only thing thats different. But I could be wrong. Best way is wire diagram way.

I believe your screwed.........

I also looked into this. And from what I have heard from 2 diffferent Nissan Master Techs it is very expensive to acomplish what your doing. The problem is the 2000 maxima is the only 5th gen with power seats that is moved via a anolog signal. 2001 through 2003 use a digital signal. I was told in order to make 01 - 03 seats work in a 00 max would cost upwards of $1200 dollars Good luck. Hope you can figure something out.

Why can't you just remove the leather and foam off the old seats and put them over your existing seat frames ? this is what I was thinking of doing on my Maxima.

I was thinking of taking out the leather foam and putting it in my seat, but I was able to only remove the bottom foam, the backrest just does not come out and I cant find nuts which can be unbolted to remove the backrest.

With a lot of little nicks and cuts I was finally able to switch the foam for the drivers seat. Took out the foam from 2003 and put it in the 2000. Also used the old switch from the 2000, 2003 switch has an extra wire. Anyone wanna know how to do it, PM me.

Thanks,
Jake
