i'm wondering if i should get it taken care of. i'm just wondering if it's going to cause unrelated kind of damage to the car if i don't get it fixed, cause to tell you the truth, i don't spend a whole of time in 1st gear! (vroooom!)

Same here... I haven't noticed it too much and not sure what the fix does, so...

If you drive alot highway miles then you probably won't notice it, but try driving in stop and go traffic and inching along in first gear and then it is especially noticeable. Do you really need to get it fixed, NO. If it doesn't bother you then you don't have to. As for damage highly unlikely!
