Ok, as most of you have read, i'm selling my max. I'm so in love with the 5th gens and I decided to finally get one. Now can someone tell me if these are good prices, if I should ask for them to lower it, and how I should go about "dealing" with the dealers without making myself look stupid. The lot has 2 cars im interested in, both Brand new with almost zero miles.

2000 Automatic Black Nissan Maxima Se. Fully loaded, every option. Price: $26,699

and..

2001 Automatic Black Nissan Maxima SE, NO bose and NO leather, has the C&C Package + sunroof and 17" rims.
Price: $24,599

Again are these good prices? And how can I go about lowering the $$, these are what the dealer spit at me as soon as I asked about them. Thanks again!

Fully loaded every option 2K SE here was 29,800, but could be bargained to 26K. Now that the 2K1 Maxima's are out I think you could get it quite a bit lower, but you cannot give in to the dealer saying they cant go any lower. I bought my GXE with C&C package for 22,500 which is more than I wanted to go, but here in west NC we seem to be paying more than most for our cars. No bother. I would have paid 25K for a GXE if I had to, as I love the Maxima. I have seen some listed as used for sale here and there too. Its an option for you to get agreat car at a lower price. Just like everything else though. Have it checked out by an independant if you go the used route

Invoice Costs for 2K SE:
Car-21,253
Destination-520
Auto-450
Bose-798
Traction-259
Comfort & Conv.-1598
Leather-1171
Meridian-467

If it is fully loaded, those are all the options, those add up to $26,516 invoice.
With the 2K1 out now, You shouldnt have to pay anymore than invoice cost.

If it was me, Id shoot for $1000 lower. Its the end of the month, they might be desparate for another sale. Also remind them it is a 2000. Who wants a 2k when they could get a 2K1
