Problems w/ Bose Stereo

Hey Guys,
My Bose 6 disc system is acting funny. Sometimes my entire left channel sounds fuzzy or not as loud and clear as the right side. I'm talking about the left tweeter, left door speakers both front and back. It can't be the speakers b/c when I play the tape or radio, it sounds just fine. I notice that when I run over hard bumbs on the road, the sound kicks back in nice and clear, but after a while or at random times, it sounds messed up again. I know I'm not going crazy b/c I pan the sound from left to right and there is a major difference. Also, some of the music I listen to has sound effects that only come through on the left side and I can barely hear it now. Anyone ever go through this before and if so, any suggestions??

Thanks for the info. If I'm reading this Service Bulletin correctly, the dealership should replace my head unit.

Thanks for posting the question! Mine just started doing it this weekend. Whole left side went out for a few hours and kicked back in after I turned the car off and back on. I guess it's another trip to Nissan.

I'm just glad I'm not the only one. Especially since I just purchased my Max 1 month ago. I'm going to the dealership this morning.

Welcome to the f-d up Bose club. I'm only on my second unit, but after they installed it the automatic climate control lights (the buttons auto, econ, etc) don't light up , so I'm going back to the dealer too.

As of last night, I am now on my fourth unit. Original one suffered from left-side speaker cutout when playing CDs. First replacement skipped so bad on CDs, it was unbearable. Second replacement was fine for about a year, but a month or so ago it started to cut out on the left-side when playing CDs. Not as bad as the original unit, but becoming more frequent, so I had them order another one and got it installed yesterday. I forgot to remove my CDs when I dropped off the car, and apparently the Nissan techs don't have a manual that tells them to remove CDs from head units they are about to replace, so now they are on their way to wherever the head units are refurbished, and I'm told to expect them back in a week or so.
