02 auto climate control lights

Ok, I'm trying to resolve this problem of the buttons (all of them) on my auto climate control unit not lighting up when i turn on the lights.

Here are my questions:

1) do you think it is possible for all the bulbs to burn out? Along the same lines is there a separate bulb for each button or just one bulb that lights up the entire climate control?

2) is it possible that a fuse is blown out? if so, which fuse in which fuse box?

Thanks for any help you guys/gals provide, it's just annoying the crap out of me, and the dealer would fix it, but who has the time to go and leave the car.

Start pulling the fuses and check man. We've all had to do it at some point in time.
