Anyone heard of this? Looks like it would be for early 2002 models.

Coolant leakage. If you encounter

coolant leaking from underneath an

early-production 2002 Pathfinder,

Maxima or Altima with the 3.5L V6,

head straight for the water pump because

its front O-ring is susceptible to

leakage. Fortunately, Nissan is on top

of the situation in the form of a newdesign

ring that provides a more

durable seal. For reference, the new

O-ring is black and has a white paint

stripe along part of its circumference;

the old-design ring is orange, with no

stripe. When replacing the pump,

make sure you get the new O-ring. Vehicles built after 12/1/01 already have

the new ring tucked into position.
