HID conversion for FOGS..?!

Alright, so here's a mod I am considering...

Has anyone ever used an entire HID conversion kit for thier fogs alone? There is a 12000K HID kit I am considering for my foglights, am I correct in thinking that an HID kit with H3 bulbs will do the trick?

I believe H3 will work... I have Blue White 8000k on headlights and foglights on my '02 Max... I had my buddy's place do it, so im not really sure if its H3, but do it man... you will see a lotta heads turning!

You can do it also... its a H3 conversion kit... costs about $400+
I used to have 6000k purple xenons on both headlights and foglights... after a crash i talked the insurance co. into paying for two new kits and got 8000k blue white's for lesser price!!! I wish i could show u guys pics of my HID's but i dont know how to post pix!

Yep its H3 for the fogs. I have the Bohmen kit, which is really good in my opion. I've had over a year with no problems. $450 @ www.proxenon.com. Zippin just posted a good write up for the conversion. I'd follow his instructions, thats pretty much how I did mine. You can also see my cardomain page for my pics

Here's some pics:

WOW, what a huge difference HID's make over the halogen H3's!!!! How many hours would it take to D.I.Y. install? I assume the same fog light housing is used?

Nice Ride!

Ok, well I am gonna go ahead and do this conversion sometime in early 2005. Once my income tax refund check comes back I will be changing both the AE Headlights I have and the fogs to 12000k HID kits.

Will I have pics by then? Hell yes

I wouldn't do 12000K, too purple and not as bright as say 6000 or 6500K. All of the conversions I've seen are around 6000K.

12000K will give you poor light out-put. 6000-7000 will look sweet

Really? You guys think 12000k is too much? I like the purple discharge not too many people have it. If it really does give sloppy output, how about sticking to the 8000 - 8500K range?
