S2000 Road Kill
The other night as I was driving home, I noticed a Honda S2000 closing in at a very rapid pace. As he pulled along side me I noticed that it was one of my friends. He however didn't look over. There was a lil bit of traffic. I said what the heck let me see what my Maxima can do against a S2000. I switched lanes to be right behind him and as traffic cleared we both cut out into the next lane and floored it after about 3 seconds I actually had to lift the gas to prevent my car from hitting his. Finally when the slow lane opened I had a clear straight away and as I redlined 2nd gear I was right beside him and when I shifted into 3rd gear I passed him and left him in the dust.
Wow...
That friend of your's must be a really crappy driver, because he should have burned you like a match.

With as much horse power and get go as those cars have and as light as they are, itd be like Coyote and the Roadrunner, meep meep!!! you being the Coyote!
I think oboiya has the right idea here. Did you look at the originator of this threads' ID??? Hmmmmmmm, BottleFedMax... could he be sprayin'??? He doesn't list mods in his sig???
As far as the comments regarding the driving ability of the S2000 pilot, I think they are ludicrous. Once a car is rolling a driver's ability has VERY LITTLE to do with the cars performance. Every driver is going to rev his car to the max when actually racing someone. About the only thing he can do wrong is miss a gear, which even the best of us have done in our time. The drivers' ability really only comes into the equation when you are sitting at a stop light staring him down!

Here is what happened. You really need to juice those S2000's about 5000 RPM to get some heavy torque. He probably heard his engine racing like a model airplane and didn't have the b@lls to take it much about 6K RPM, thinking that something was going to explode.

hehe ye... i cant imagine a lot of those drivers taken the car up to the 9000 redline... they prob making poopoo in their pants at 6000 like you said... hehe

so yea bottlefed u never answered the question... did u spray? and what mods do u have... im sure we would all really like to know...
Ok ok ok, we've done this b4!!! I've said it once and I'll say it again. No freakin way! He must have been in the wrong gear. If he were racing u would have known it by the EXTEMELY LOUD engine/exhaust noise. I just drove an S2000 today around the block a few times, caught an open, straight street and floored the everlovin s**t out of it. Then I got back into my car and met the harsh reality again. The S2000 will shred the Max anyday, anytime, anywhere! Unless u've driven one, u'll never know. Yes u have to redline it to get it move. The sweet spot is between 7000-9000 rpm's, that's where u feel it. Don't get me wrong I love my Max and I enjoy killing all other cars out there, but Max beating S2000, nah. I don't mean to burst anyone's bubble, but I need to do a reality check here.
