Suggestions for a 2K2 or a 2K3 Purchase

I am about 95% set on getting a 2K2-2K3 Max in the Spring of next year.

I wanted to ask some of the owners of those models or those who know a bit about them for some hints, suggestions, favorite options and things to watch out for, things worth doing to it, etc.

All input is very appreciated.

Thanks.

good choice in car selection. There is a reason why edmunds named the maxima "The Athlete of Family Sedans." oh yea and the bose sound system in my 2k is overrated.

Since u have a GLE now, i'm assuming you're gonna stick w/ an auto, so i'm not gonna start preaching the 6-speed to you.

I think getting it loaded up (w/o navi, of course) is the way to go.
And if you can, try to find the Meridian edition. The heated steering wheel is the ****!

Replace the tires on the way home from the dealership.

Your car looked awesome man.... I liked the kit and the way the SSRs matched the color... why are ya selling? Or rather, what are you getting next?

Yeah, I got a 99 GLE now and formerly had a 98 GLE, so this would be my third max.

I like sticks, but in my daily driving (about 40K a year) it would wear me out.

As far as the Bose goes, I could care less. I had it in 98 and in 99 (with woofers in the trunk) and it is very good for factory system, but wouldn't mind a basic one to replace it with a screen and some good speakers.

Was Manumatic an option for either 2k2 or 2k3? Any major changes between the two?

I looked, but can't find good data about acceleration 0-60 and 1/4 mile times. Can anyone anlighten me about them for stock autos and manuals?

Thanks
