Mass Airflow Sensor

Brand new to this site. Cool place!
I just got a quote to have a new sensor installed and the quote was $425. Since I know almost nothing about engines, does this sound correct?
Thanks........

It's DAVEB not Dave B.

Check the PARTS sticky and it should be ~$100 or less.

right but if you were to pm dave b looking for quote on a maf then you would have the wrong person. there are actually two dave b's at the dealership too which is why i posted his last name as well. i gave his real name and org name so it would not get confused when and if he was contacted.

I think it's pretty lame to argue something over with an admin. He knows much more than you.

Back to the topic, yeah $425 is way too much for a MAF. If you were local, I'd install the thing for you for $150. Even then I'm already making a profit.

i'm not arguing with the moderator, I was correcting sloppymax, maybe you can go back and read . .

ICE2k, and Dave B sorry for the typo.

As for my typo, DAVE B is still not Dave B , note the caps, and I admit I did miss the space.

There ae 2 people with "daveB" as screen names. There is a SPACE between DAVE_B- he is not the parts guy. Make this mistake during a search as humans can and will, and he will not be very understanding.

DAVEB (No Space) on the other hand is a nice guy to do business with.
