Changing brake pads

I am trying to change the brake pads on my 01 Maxima GXE at 56k miles. The rotors still look pretty good.

Can I just change the pads without resurfacing the rotors? I do see some circular grooves on the rotors. Just changing the pads seems easy enough for me but I am wary of changing the rotors myself.

What is your recommendation?

well you can change the pads if you like. don't let people make the decision on whether to change the rotors or not. do they look safe to you? if so keep them, if not change them. I recommend slotted or drilled disk.

I was looking at the Powerslot ones. They are made with the OEM blanks, as claimed on the web site.

Oh, I didn't realize there are different OEM's. So what brand rotor do you recommend?

Thanks.

ok all of the replacement rotors are OEM size and thickness.. its a mater of composition of the rotors.
Brembo is by far the best replacement rotors you can get.. check GD section...

and no point to get crossdrilled.. just get slotted..
cross drilled is NOT to release gases faster.. if just for weight reduction.. which for our cars is not necessary
