Which struts with stock springs..

I need some new struts am I'm thinking about Illuminas... but I have stock springs.
Will there be any problems with this set up? I'm not going to lower it until next summer but I want a strut that'll last me until then (and beyond) with the stock springs.

Any ideas/suggestions?
Thanks

I just did an install on a fellow org members car this evening at my shop, Illuminas on stock springs. We set them on 3 all around.

The ride is amazing. No body roll, no floaty feel what so ever. Very compliant ride, very stable, yet smooth as all he11. Dips are non existant, the suspension soaks them up and maintains a level ride at all times.

And I though they rode nice coupled with H&R springs, there awsome coupled with stock components.

I'm running KONI yellow shocks on OEM springs and really like them.

only thing I could offer is the discussion that Illuminas, like all Tokico struts, stiffen up dramatically over high-piston-speed bumps (e.g. potholes, big bumps, etc.)... makes the car sound like it's "crashing" into something. Eibachs I've heard are very stiff, so that would probably amplify the "stiffness."
So if you don't care about potholes, then it might be a good combo?

potholes are terrible here... so guess i will have to install stock springs with illuminas... ( i have eibachs with stock shocks )

the handling of a GXE is really bad... but eibachs are too stiff and it rubs

anybody know if there is a difference between SE springs and GLE/GXE springs? or maybe only struts are different...

Struts might even be the same, but the SE springs are stiffer than GXE/GLE. In fact, I think there was a TSB for the GLE where if the rear suspension bottomed out too much, the fix was to install SE springs on the rear.

Plus the SE has a larger Front anti-sway bar... not sure what else.
