Climate Control Temp Display C to F Change

Recently got ourselves a 2000 GLE with Climate Control that is configured to read in Centigrade. This came from the Canadian market. There has got to be a set-up mode, hardware switch or something to toggle between C and F. Anyone know how? I would appreciate any help. I rack my brain doing the conversions going down the road. This may have already been posted but could find due to search tools out of commission.

Sorry to say this but I'm pretty certain that there's no way of changing that. I just looked through my owners manual and it didn't have any mention of it.

nah, I've heard it's possible... maybe getting the climate control into its diagnostic mode? I'm not 100% up on this...
it's supposed to be easy with the Consult-II I think, but maybe you can do it manually.

Jason, That would be super, I was really hoping it was a front panel (diagnostics) access change.

hmmm. My instructions on alldatadiy.com didn't show anything that could do that, although the diagnostic guide might not've been complete.

Someone once posted a very complete list of crap you could do with the diagnostic mode on that thing...

I have the same canadian model. In checking with the nissan dealer, they contacted nissan USA. Apparently, the non-US models have a different wiring schematic for the climate control. It is not as simple as programming the readout or swapping out the unit. There is no quick fix for the Celcius readout, except to get really good at converting C to F!!!!

I believe there is a way but you have to change the wiring on the back of the unit. I think its the same as the 3rd gens and there was just one wire that had to be disconnected.

C x 2 + 32 = F (i think that's the formula)

Actually, the formula is C x 1.8 + 32 = F
But, I don't like to "do the math" everytime I want to convert to F. In the meantime, that's what I have been doing. If there indeed is a wiring change, I would appreciate it if anyone can share what it is. Usually with digital thermometers, it is a simple switch or program change. I just haven't seen any info about temp conversion in the wiring diagrams I have looked at for this model so far.
