Sunroof problems on a 2K

Hi guys, I am new to the form and I have just picked up a 2K Maxima. The only problem I have is that the sunroof opens intermittently (I have to keep pressing the button) and also both buttons do the same thing. Any ideas? Thanks!

ok, here's what you do. close your sunroof. unhook your battery. stomp on your brakes a few times. turn your lights on and off. (you're draining the power
in the system). hook your battery back up. turn on your ignition. tilt the sunroof
up, and then back down. now it'll work.

dunno, but it's happened to quite a few people. your dealer will try to sell
you a $300 motor. this procedure is kinda like rebooting your pc.

This did not work for me but maybe I am doing something wrong. Do I need to disconnect both poles on the battery? (I only disconnected the negative)

hmm. strange. this always works. are you "draining" the battery by depressing the
breaks and turning the lights on? and did you hit the TILT button and not the back/forth button when you hooked the battery back up?

Help

I am new here and I have a nissan maxima 2001 w/ 98k mile already. I plan to do the engine oil change by myself. I read the manuals but it doesn't say how many quarts of oil should I use but instead I have to depend on the dipstick. My obvious question is, how many quarts of oil I have to use? What brand of oil filter I have to use? I know I can determine the amount of oil by using the dipstick but I just want the estimate number of quarts of oil. Thank you in advance! JP

I found this in the 2000 NISSAN Maxima Service Manual.

Recommended Fluids and Lubricants

ENGINE - US Measure - Changing Instructions
With oil filter change - 4-1/4qt
Without oil filter change - 3-7/8qt
Dry engine (engine overhaul)- 5-1/8qt

NISSAN's reccomendation
SAE 5W-30 viscosity oil is preferred for all temperatures. SAE 10W-30 and 10W-40 viscosity oil may be used if the ambient temperature is above -18°C(0°F).
