Ignition Coil Law Suit!!!!

Somebody ought to make an ignition coil law suit! That seems to be a lot more reasonable. Why spend time on something that requires somebody to actually steal something of yours to prove that Nissan has a faulty design and kept it secret. Look at the amount of people who have coil problems and I bet it's at least triple the amount of people who've had HID's stolen. What's up with that???!!! How can Nissan pay out or provide an alternate solution for theft, when thousands of Max owners need to come out of pocket for just owning and driving a Maxima? Just my .02! Didn't mean to sound so sour, but I need to replace my own ignition coils, and nobody is gonna help me pay for it!

your going to get flamed for this one. we wouldn't see a dime of that money if we were to win. the cost of all the lawyers and litigation would only be passed on to the consumers. i wish nissan would just recall the cars with faulty coils and replace them.

Yeah, that's what I meant, not a stupid lawsuit.(Sorry!) It seems like the coils are a major problem, and OBVIOUSLY a design flaw. Too bad Nissan won't own up to it. It's not a problem if it happens, but at least take responsibility. Oh well....

your car will get like sluggish and start missing because it may be only running on 5cyl if ones bad. Your SES (Service Engine Soon) light will come one and give you an error code P1320

in case you have already changed some of the coils, the new ones have a white dot on them so u can tell the difference between the 2.

I may be wrong but I don't think that's true. The updated 2K1 coils which can be used on the 2K do not have a white dot on them.

if everyone would file a lawsuit against nissan about everything they are unhappy with nissan would be out of business for good. Maybe you should go buy a domestic car and find out what poor quality is all about. Look at ford with there recent tire problems now that is a problem to complain about cause its life threatening. A coil pack may be pricey but its no life threatening.
