Does hyperground really work?

Does the hyperground kit really gives a performance increase or its not worth it?

It's worth it. It's hard to quantify "performance increase", but I am pretty sure it makes a slight difference, mainly in the general smoothness/quietness of the engine. I noticed slightly different MAF readings from my OBD-II scantool when I compared with and without the hyperground installed. It's not that expensive to do, so IMHO it's worth it.

the only "noticible" thing you will see is that if u ground your headlights.. they will become brighter..
other than that.. maybe increasage in mgp.
lower idle
smoother shifts..
but not too noticible

About the headlights: That wouldn't hurt the harness in anyway, would it?

I made a kit last weekend. I didn't go by any guide to what points to ground, I just grounded 6 different points on the motor that I thought needed better grounding. The materials: 12 ft. 4 ga. wire, 12 eye-connectors, cost me 17 bucks. I made and installed the kit in 1 hour. The car idles lower and smoother, revs smoother, and it could be my imagination, but the butt dyno reads that the car pulls a LITTLE harder from around 3000 to 4500 rpm. Well worth it considering the cost and effort of the kit. Also looks cool in the engine bay.

Good job on the DIY... I'm gonna hafta try that sometime too.... but are ya sure it pulls harder or is that feeling derived from increased throttle response? Just curious....

i just bought one from blehmco, what i noticed from my older max and the grounding kit is a much smoother idle, brighter head lights, faster engine crank up and and increase of torque at lower rpm's.

How much did ya pay for the kit? Just curious... but I'm still going the Home Depot route if and when I do it...

TPR Magazine used Hypergrounds on a 6G Honda Accord 4cyl with I/H/E. It was good for about .5hp but IIRC they pretty much stated what scopium posted. They have some Nismo Ground Wire knockoffs on Ebay regularly.

It could be the increased throttle response...... I don't know. It definately feels a little better though. Go for it.

How much are the eBay kits? Are they vehicle specific, or just a generic kit for any car? I'm considering doing this one of these days, when I finish with the ten thousand other mods

The ebay kits are generic, so some of the wires may be WAY longer than you need. They are actually really cheap on ebay, like 10 bucks with 5 shipping or something like that. BUt you need to know they are not vehicle specific, so even if they include instructions with them, I don't think they'll be THAT helpful. at that point, you might as well make your own.

just a quick question. I grounded the throttle body, engine, tranny, alternator and the strut bar (body/frame). If I grounded the car frame...do I still need to ground the headlights?

Why would the strut bar need to be grounded?

What would you ground the frame to and why?

So does anyone have any wire measurements or is it basically just measure as you go?
