Things to look for when buying

I am looking at buying a 2002 Nissan Maxima SE 6spd black on black. I wanted to know what are some things I should look for when talking to the seller about it, like common problems, things the seller has or hasn't fixed?? Thanks!

Make sure any recalls have been performed.

if from a dealer, make sure he gets you a carfax on the spot.

check the quality of the paint. Nissan paint is pretty bad and is prone to chipping, especially on the front bumper and the hood.

open the hood and trunk. run your finger along the sides ( where the trunk and hod normally cover) to check for overspray. this way you can check if the car has been in an accident. something carfax does no catch.
