Mauimaxima, is that quote for the 5th gen maximas?
Yeah, its for 00 Max. I'm not sure about the others but I would assume the sizing and quote will be the same.

Oh wow, i found a pix of my lights at night... these are taken with two different white balances (i was trying to get a more accurate pix of the light shade) The first one is closest to what i have.

according to my cousins, when we cruise, they say it looks really brilliant and stands out a lot more than my headlights.

So can somebody PLEASE tell me how many sheets are needed for our foglights!!! Or should I just use the paint. The paint seems to be much more yellow. I figure I can add some thinner(if it is not already thinned out) and put in my spray gun so I can spray it on evenly. So have we found out which bulb is the yellowest? Looks like the Candlepower bulbs are..

Thanks,

Mark

I don't know what you ordered but Narva Golds are labeled Candlepower Golds in the US. However they are sometimes labeled Universal to avoid tradmark conflict in NA. Is the box blue? Are they 4530G?

How yellow are those without the tint? What kind of tint did you use and what are you headlights bulbs?

without the tint they only look yellow if you look at the reflection of the road. The yellow tint is basically just car window tint and gives it a great neon yellow look noticable from blocks away. I have the fog lights rewired and its great to see how much yellow out put there is. Sorry no pics now.

the headlight bulbs are PIAA StarWhite. I love em, they give no purple or blueish tint and they're super bright.

Mark...it's not that hard
measure the size of your fogs, and then order a sheet that will cover that area.

I bought two "medium sheets" (7 x 8") and then cut them to fit....

Thanks. I know I could just go by the measurements but I was thinking of doing 2 layers and factoring in a possible mistake that would cost me piece of a sheet or a whole sheet I wasn't sure how much is a safe amount to get the job done right. I was just wondering what worked for the guys who have done it already.

Thanks irish.. I wish I could do the eye roll face but I don't know how

To confirm this, I got the same exact bulbs, the boxes they came in were kinda shady though (the ones above). But my friend told me these are the candlepower golds.

yeah, those are boxes the bulbs were shipped in. I emailed both suvlights and candlepower to verify. I haven't put them in yet but when I do, I know i'll end up going for the lamin-x too.

Yellow lights don't do much for me in night driving when it's clear out. The HIDs allow me to see much better than any headlights I've ever owned on a car. I'm sure that yellow lights allow you to see better in heavy fog vs white lights.

its also important to point out that yellow fogs help others to see you in any weather condition.

The white/yellow light issue seems to have been debated a lot in the past by the "experts". Apparently, there are no significant differences in terms of the refractive and dispersionary qualities of yellow and white. As far as fog lights are concerned, yellow might help a little in snowy conditions, since snow is white, but the most important thing about fog lights is that they are low and angled correctly. All I know I got from some research on Google.... so don't take my word for it, although I can tell ya that the sources seemed pretty credible....

Well, as far as I know, the Candlepower fogs and new MTEC H4s I put on are mostly for asthetic purposes.
