Permenant Ink on Engine Cover - Went Postal on Oil Change Place
Last time I got my Max back from the oil change place (750 miles a week, I haven't got time to do them myself anymore) I discovered they had written the oils capacity on the Engine cover in 3" high letters with Red permenant ink!
Long story short, after getting the regional manager involved (after a shouting match w/ the location manager) they're replacing the cover.
Can you believe anyone would be so stupid?
My rhetorical question to them was, if this had been a Mercedes, or a Ferarri, would you have done this? This ever happen to anyone else?

That same day they also did it to my '92 Lexus ES, but since it's my backup, that bothered me less. Still wrong tho.
Worst part was, when I called the guy who I talked to said they'd get me a new cover, but when I went in, his manager overruled him and that set me off. Looked like a bait and switch, except that the guy who promised to make it right is a stand-up guy who I've dealt w/ for 3 yrs. You could tell he was ticked when him boss cut his knee's out from under him.

Was a Monro shop. They've been real good to me there until this. I think it's a new manager, 'cuz up til now it's been a good shop with a group of honest guys. Apparently "Marker-Boy" was a new hire from Jiffy Lube,, where he was supposedly told to do this. Monro didn't know he was doing it before I brought it up. They have (obviously) stopped this practice.

I would be livid. Kinda like every time you take your car somewhere you get in and the bass is all the way up with the volume cranked.
I made the mistake of taking my care to Jiffy Lube 2 times last year when I just couldnt do it.... Well last time I did my oil, I noticed that the rubber gasket from the drain plug tore off and I needed to replace it. Oil was very very slowly dripping from the plug.
I called Dave B and told him I needed the new gasket, he said "Rubber? That is copper my friend" I told him mine was rubber, he said "Someone switched them at the oil change then, because Nissan only uses copper rings around the drain plug bolt.
So, I now have two new drain plugs. (ordered a backup) and I will never go to jiffy or anywhere again. I will just make myself find the time.
The bolts and gasket were like $2 ea from Dave. He had them to me in 3 days.
